| Scepticism in language. Without being able to express ourselves properly how can we progress? What are your least favourite cliches or nonsense words. Here's a few: Basically At the end of the day edutainment ...and then how about that bloody upward inflection some people use in conversation where everything sounds like it is a question. Arrr! |

| Jamie, the over-use of the word "like" And whats wrong with us Geordies putting 'like' at the end of our sentences? | The geordie use of the word "like" at the end of sentences I have no problem with nor the Wiltshire lot etc. Those are entrenched in your culural dialect and I wouldn't change them for the world. It is the more fake Americanized version where they seem to turn everything into a simile "I am like going out" and "I am like 'duh' and she is like 'no way' and I am like 'yeah' and she is like..." ad nauseum. The only people permitted to use the word like in that way should be Shaggy from the Scooby Doo cartoons! |

| It became quite trendy to loathe Scrappy Doo at some period. This came out in the first Scooby Doo feature film. And yet he was always my favourite. Scooby Doo were debunkers before they sold out. |
