It is an interesting case study and a text book example. However, I would argue that this particular individual might not be a complete con-theo. I don't think he has a lot of faith in his arguments - he just likes to argue. He likes the attention. He didn't go down with the ship when his arguments were shot down. Rather he retreated with a loophole argument like he was the real sceptic who was only "interested in the topic". A real con-theo would have just kept repeating the same nonsense or claiming everything we had posted was false, part of a larger conspiracy etc.

Totally agree Jamie,

Ihave debated many using such loopholes, its an old and cowardly debaters technique where they hide behind no stance so they can attack anyone that disagrees with them while shielding themselves from criticism.

The best part was when he called me a nazi Laughing

I wonder if he believes calling me a nazi on an open and very public forum garnershim support from others?

Sad very sad, but at least I know the sort of person Im dealing with and thanks to his own prejudices, so does everyone else.

I found it particularly satisfying that he repeatedly asked for my credentials so he ad more ammo against me, but when I called him a hypocrite for not answering any of my questions, he strangely had no reply.

Coming from a mule with all the answers it was rather surprising, but great fun Twisted Evil

Perhaps that comes across evil but after putting up with comntinuos hominem attacks against me I felt he was fair game to use his own tactics against him.

Suffice to say, he wasn't too pleased lol!

Regards,

Den.
