Sceptic vs Skeptics vs True Believers
Well I have to say I am officially cheesed off with my hobby horse today. Some of you may know I started at Sceptic community (
www.sceptic.darkbb.com) in 2008; which was great. I hooked up with people, went on a massive learning curve but had to give it up due to lack of time and resources; best bit is I tried deleting the forum three times and the hosts left it there!
Well since I came back, this year in fact I went back to my old haunts to find a chunk of the skeptic community have turned noses up at me due partly to lack of traffic on my site and hugely because I am sceptical about their methods of Scepticism. I challenged their holy cow, challenged their heroes and now im stonewalled to a degree, not so much publicly but behind the scenes, implications, refusal to answer the hard questions etc.
To top it off nicely I am also still mistrusted, almost hated by the 'true believers' brigade, which is fair enough if you have sceptic in your pseudonym you will get heat.
So im between a rock and a hard place and loving it. I tried to retire but they wouldn't close my forum, now im being pushed out the picture, I feel totally energised to become the most prolific Sceptic the UK has, in my own sweet way. I never was a follower truth be known, I have been a maverick in everything I do so why not this, Im going to buck this system, get lots of heat but,........
Regards,
Den
